This looks decent, I think; but just decent. It’s not blasphemously unacceptable, but aspects of these stores are questionable, as far as animal care goes. I mean… Other than the SMALL cages for the birds, and the TINY dog & cat (prison cells) cages which look like boxes… not to mention, the kids touching EVERYTHING (stressing animals and exposing bacteria from human-animal and vice versa)…?! What’s that? That’s disgusting! Hope they have hand-washing stations and hand-sanitizer nearby! So.. beyond those issues, I think this place looks good. I’ve seen worse, here in America! But what am I saying; the US is known for shitty, shopping mall pet stores, who are in-contract with local puppy farms. Vile and money-hungry hellholes where the bitches are bred til their tits & tubes are so huge and swollen, that they finally get put out of their misery. Or get sick and die. But I digress…at least, at this place in Dubai, they test the animals & have veterinary services-so that’s an improvement. I just hope each of the puppies gets to come out of their box every day. You know, it’s a known fact that socializing puppies (and cats, birds) is EXTREMELY important to prevent aggression & anti-social behaviors later in life. It’s not “socializing” when there’s glass in between you & the animal, haha. That cute tri-color Chihuahua looked very friendly, but its sibling (or roommate) was in the back; maybe it’s tired, but it’s also possibly experiencing early depression or mental problems from living in the “prison cell” cage. One can only hope that these animals go to proper homes-that’s the next step for sellers everywhere, to screen & conduct background checks on potential new owners. Much like a rescue center does. Otherwise (sadly), it’s all about money. If you don’t care where the animals end up, it’s only money for the stores. Forget the vet checks, the health screenings; it wont matter if they’re not gonna receive proper care in their future lives. It will only mean they’re healthy ENOUGH- to SELL and get rid of…
